Sayles Exterior Cleaning (SEC) Terms & Conditions

Thank you for the opportunity to quote the requested services at your property. Our aim is to make every customer a satisfied & repeat customer. Please find below our Terms and Conditions for the work that will be carried out which may also answer some frequently asked questions.

Personal belongings, furniture, plants and/or ornaments that may become wet or are in the way during a House Wash, Gutter Clean or any other service must be moved away from the house and removed from porch & deck areas. While SEC take extreme care with chemicals and water, we are not responsible for any damage to these types of items.

Water that enters via windows, doors, cracks or any other ways water can seep in, SEC are not responsible of any leaks or damages. Although we are careful to not let this happen, unfortunately water can get into the smallest holes and cracks. If you have any areas of concern, please contact and let us know so we are aware.

If we feel that no care has been taken to prepare and we feel that an item will be damaged, we will avoid the specific area completely to ensure no damage is caused unnecessarily or a removal fee may be charged to move items from areas including but not limited to decks and driveways. The full amount will still be invoiced if an area is washed around.

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure electrical items, appliances etc. that will get wet are waterproof or ensure to inform our technician/s prior to cleaning. SEC takes no responsibility for damage caused to any electrical item that has not been prepped properly.

It is the owner’s responsibility to provide an adequate water source, to make sure adequate access is available and gates unlocked, that windows and doors are all closed, that you stay inside or are away from the property while the job is undertaken and that we are aware of any concerns beforehand.

SEC is not liable for pre-existing damages such as paint flaking, gutter damages, damaged roof tiles, broken or missing exterior lighting, blocked drains, oxidization on any surfaces, broken windows, damaged window frames or any other timber joinery, any damages to weatherboards and soffits or any other damages that have occurred before the job has commenced. If we have damaged anything that was preventable, we will resolve the issue and make sure you are happy with everything before the invoice is settled.

We need to be aware of gutter guard when doing gutter cleans. If we are not aware of gutter guard and the type used, we will charge to remove, clear out and reinstate the gutter guard at an hourly charge of $100+gst.

If SEC have not been made aware that a dog is on site, we will arrange to reschedule the work due to Health & Safety. The customer must arrange for the animal to be indoors or off site prior to our scheduled arrival. Please take in their food and water bowls, beds and any toys of theirs.

If we need to reschedule due to one of the following, a $50.00 non-refundable call out fee will be charged:

    • The site is not accessible on our arrival on the agreed date.
    • The customer intends to cancel the job and does not do so until we arrive at the property.
    • We are not made aware about a dog onsite and subsequently need to reschedule.
    • Windows onsite are left open and subsequently we need to reschedule

The customer must make SEC aware if they are on tank water. It is the customers responsibility to ensure tanks are disconnected before our arrival and reconnected when advised by us which is dependent on the service carried out at the property.

Unless arranged prior, areas that are not outlined in our specific service descriptions are not included.

Failure to make payment on time will incur a 15% surcharge fee which will automatically be added to the invoice.
